Everyone loves a good story. That’s why stories are so effective for engaging an audience and inspiring action. Sometimes, nonprofit leaders are challenged when telling their story of “why” they serve. In this workshop, you will learn to refine your story and storytelling skills in an authentic, effective, and compelling way, helping you develop tools to advocate for your organization and advance their mission.
When people feel emotionally connected to a cause, they are more likely to support it. Join us for this one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn from one of the best in our field, Andy Goodman, and hone your skills in this fun and engaging workshop.
On February 4, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, national speaker and communications expert Andy Goodman will present “Why I Serve: A Storytelling Workshop” for Southern Arizona nonprofit board members, professionals, and volunteers at the Community Foundation Campus.
This workshop, hosted by CFSA’s Center for Healthy Nonprofits, and co-sponsored by the Tobin Board Leadership Program at Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona, aims to help current and prospective board members in the Southern Arizona Jewish Community become better advocates and ambassadors for the organizations they serve.
After the workshop, attend a special gathering at the Community Foundation Campus for Jewish Community board members from 4:15 to 6:00 PM where there will be drinks, snacks, and space for discussion.
This opportunity is made available to Jewish Community Leaders for a greatly reduced fee of $15 thanks to a generous grant from the Saul Tobin Fund for Jewish Continuity, held at JPSA.
